Update 17th of september 2014: This project has been frozen because I have no time to develop it.
CriGE is an open source Game Engine, well, right now nobody can say it is a game engine, but "be a game engine" is the goal.
It is being developed by Marc Poch in its free time, it's based on GNU/Linux systems and its programmed totally in C. By now it only displays animated md5 models. It uses OpenGL shaders, Vertex Array Object (VAO), Vertex Buffer Object (VBO).
Currently CriGe is under developement, I spend one hour per day developing CriGE, I started it on December 2013. And now I released the code under LGPL license to share the experience.
Here how to install:
You can get CriGE source code using git command:
cd /usr/local/src/ git clone git://crimpa.net/crige
Compile and install:
cd crige make su #make install #exit
View CriGE demos:
cd demos/00_triangle make ./triangle
Remeber, CriGe is under developement, use "git pull" command to check for updates.
Check the log book to follow CriGE's evolution. Enjoy it ;)
